After surgery, your incisions will be dressed with light bandages. You will be given detailed instructions about keeping the incisions clean. You will also be given medication for any discomfort you may experience. Your breasts will be sore for up to 3 days.

You will need to wear a support bra for at least a few weeks and up to a few months. You may want to avoid wearing an underwire bra until you are completely healed. You will want to limit active movement for at least the first few days to avoid pulling your stitches. You will be able to resume light activities in 7 to 10 days. Strenuous movements and heavy lifting of any kind should be avoided for several weeks.

Scarring from a breast lift is inevitable and permanent, but most women who have breast lifts in Indiana are so happy with the results of the shape and lift of their breasts that they don't mind the scarring.
