This 58 year old woman presented to my Munster, Indiana office for a consultation regarding facial rejuvenation. Her main concerns were her jowls and the loose skin of her neck which made her look older than she actually felt inside. She wore her hair up frequently, so the number and location of scars were major considerations. She had a fair amount of facial skin laxity, and the fat under her chin added to her skin excess giving her a tired and aged appearance.

This patient was otherwise healthy and was an excellent candidate for a facelift. In addition, the fat under her neck could be sculpted with liposuction. She underwent a facelift under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. In addition, liposuction of her neck was done to improve the overall contour through a small incision under the chin.

Her before and after photos show a significant improvement, but she obtained a natural result  without the "operated look", a presence most women want to avoid. She has a more defined jawline and a more youthful contour of her neck. She is able to wear her hair pinned up as her scars are hidden from view.
