This 30 year old patient came to my Munster office for breast augmentation. Indiana women around this age often experience a turn for the worse in their breast appearance, as gravity and age begin to conspire to sag and stretch the breast. Another common reason that breast beauty starts to fade at this age is lost volume due to nursing.

This patient suffered decreased breast volume after breast feeding her two children. While she was healthy for the most part, she had a pack a day smoking habit. Smoking really does terrible things to the body, and makes you much more susceptible to poor healing after surgery. As a result, I tell all my patients who undergo breast augmentation with breast lift that if they smoke they must quit prior to their procedures to help avoid complications.

At her consultation, I noted that she suffered from ptosis (breast droopiness) and dilated areola. In addition to her breast enlargement in Indiana, this patient also needed a breast lift to raise the breasts to a more flattering position. Because of her narrow frame, she needed high profile breast implants, and chose 290cc smooth saline that I filled to 325cc during the surgery to take her from a 32A to a 32B.

In addition to her breast augmentation, I also performed periareolar mastopexy to lift the breast and reshape the areola. Her recovery was uneventful and she's extremely satisfied with her shapely figure.
